After she took part in Landmark Education’s Self-Expression and Leadership Program, Birdie Sheridan wanted to raise money and in-kind provide donations for young mothers and their needy newborns. Her dedication led her to start a program called “Food 4 Babies” that she partnered with the Imago Dei Center, which is a small crisis pregnancy center in Warren that offers programs designed to assist women with material, emotional and spiritual support in the event of an unwanted pregnancy.
Birdie saw an immediate need for diapers, formula and baby food, so she targeted and filled these holes. She received generous contributions from the community, family and friends. Check donations were solicited, and people were also encouraged to drop off items to the center.
